Joint Personnel Intensify Crack Down on Errant Vehicles in E. Jakarta

The operation, called Lintas Jaya, cracked down 4,556 vehicles in East Jakarta.

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Riki Erwinda said, the 4,556 vehicles netted were public minivan cars, pick-up cars, box cars, trucks, motorbikes, and private cars.

"This routine operation involves 45 joint personnel. It is intensified in areas prone to traffic violation," he expressed, Tuesday (5/6).

21 Vehicles Netted During Lintas Jaya Operation

Of 4,556 vehicles, 738 were netted with a dossier by the Transportation Sub-agency; 396 were stopped operating; 354 were netted with a dossier by the police; and 980 were ticketed by the police.

"Then 388 motorbikes were flattened, three-wheeled vehicles were netted with a dossier; four-wheeled vehicles were netted with a dossier, and 1,536 were towed," he explained.

He added the operation involved the Transportation Sub-agency, Traffic Regional Unit, Garnisun, and army.

"This is focused on Jalan Raden Inten, Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Jalan Raya Bogor, Jalan Raya Cacing, and Jalan Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX," he said.
